Public Transport & Parking

Public transport is an excellent way to access White Night Melbourne, and it will run all night, on all modes. If you plan to drive, however, be aware that there will be road closures in place, and some car parks in the central CBD will not be accessible on the night.

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is helping customers get to and from White Night by running all-night trains, trams and buses – so you won’t miss a thing!

Public transport is an excellent way to access White Night Melbourne, but please keep in mind that demand can be high during peak times. Public transport will run all night, on all modes; however, it will not be free – you will still need to top up and use your myki.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT ACCESSIBILITY

White Night Melbourne attendees requiring accessibility information and assistance can visit the PTV website to learn more about Accessible transport.

Metropolitan Trains

– From 7pm-11pm, trains will be running every 15 to 30 minutes on all lines.

– From 11pm-3.30am, trains will be running every 30 minutes on all lines.

– From 3.30am-6.30am, trains will be running every 60 minutes on all lines.

Flinders Street Station will have a one-way exit via Elizabeth Street and Southbank.

Metropolitan Trams

All routes will be running all night except for the City Circle tram and routes 78 and 82.

– From 5pm-1am, trams will be running every 5 to 10 minutes.

– From 1am-3am, trams will be running every 15 to 20 minutes.

– From 3am-8.20am, trams will be running every 30 minutes.

Service changes apply within the White Night precincts, with stop closures in place from 4.30pm Saturday until 8.30am Sunday. For details, please see the Yarra Trams website.

Metropolitan Buses

From 1.30am-6.30am, Night Buses and Route 907 (to Mitcham via Doncaster Park + Ride) will be running every 30 minutes.

Due to road closures, all CBD buses will operate from the West Bus Hub on Queen Street and from the East Bus Hub on Spring Street from 5pm on Saturday until 8am on Sunday.

West Bus Hub routes:
216, 219, 220, 232, 234, 235, 236, 605, 941 Night Bus, 942 Night Bus, 944 Night Bus, 945 Night Bus, 951 Night Bus, 952 Night Bus.

East Bus Hub routes:
200, 207, 250, 251, 302, 304, 305, 905, 906, 907, 908, 955 Night Bus, 961 Night Bus, 966 Night Bus, 969 Night Bus.

Night Coach

– Bendigo Night Coaches will depart 1.05am and 2.05am

– Ballarat Night Coaches will depart 1.10am and 2.10am

– Geelong, Seymour and Traralgon Night Coaches will depart between 2am and 2.15am.

All Night Coach services will depart from Southern Cross Coach Terminal.

Road Closures and Parking

Road closures will be in place for the event, and vehicle access (including bicycles) is not permitted within the precinct. Car parks in the central CBD will not be accessible on the night. Details are available in the downloadable road closure map.

If you plan to drive to White Night Melbourne, we recommend parking at the edges of the CBD and walking into the event precinct. The following Wilson Parking car parks will be open 24 hours:
